Portland

FOR THE LOVE OF

Keep it Local

Keep it Local —

This September, rediscover the joy of experiencing the heart of the city—your city.

Join friends, family, and neighbors for Portland’s second-annual Summer Staycation. Choose from three days of celebration of everything that makes our downtown vibrant: Timbers and Thorns games, acclaimed theatre productions, live concerts, intimate dining, and specialized local retail. Cap it all off with a tour of Downtown Sunday Parkways, for which the city will convert more than two miles of downtown streets into a bike and pedestrian boulevard and line the route with local vendors and activities for all ages.

Book a stay at a participating downtown hotel. Dine out. Show up. Shop like your city deserves more. This is a weekend designed to activate the city from within—by Portlanders, for Portlanders.

Retailers, restaurants, and local event creators will roll out unique offerings and one-of-a-kind experiences. It’s a chance to remind ourselves, and to show others, what’s possible downtown.

Let us know you’re in. Rally your friends, coworkers, and communities to take part. Together, we can build momentum and reimagine downtown Portland as the destination it’s always been.

A BRIGHT FUTURE FOR

Portland’s Center City

Thousands of Portlanders activated downtown for our first Staycation Weekend in 2025, reveling in the live music from PDX Pop Now, Timbers soccer, Downtown Sunday Parkways, PDX Geek Week, and a myriad of fun experiences.

We were all inspired to experience our vibrant city with fresh eyes and fill downtown hotel rooms. Let’s do it again, put our money and our weekend plans where our heart is:
